Hope is a 12 yr. old grade mare approximately 14.2 hands. She is currently being ridden at Hopewell Farms in Lillian, AL. She is doing well at the walk and trot, but still needs work on her canter. She may have some gait in her, but she would need work to stay in a four beat movement. Hope would make a great walk/trot pony on the flat or she has potential to be a good trail horse. She will require an advance beginner or intermediate rider. Her adoption fee is $400.00. To apply visit www.panhandleequinerescue.org
PER is seeking an adoption home for Grace. Grace is an 11 yr. old 15 hand TWH mare that was seized by animal control in May 2015. She is rehabilitated and ready to adopt. She has been saddled and desensitized to many objects, but still needs more groundwork and work on trusting humans. She will make a great horse for an experienced handler who is willing to spend the time with her.
Adoption Fee: $300.00. If interested in adopting Grace, you can download an adoption application from our website at www.panhandleequinerescue.org.
Panhandle Equine Rescue assisted Escambia County Animal Control by taking in three mares that were seized from a property in Century, FL. All horses were thin; two of them were emaciated. The owner of the black filly, who is called Lisa, was located. The owner of the two roans has been identified, but has not been located yet. We will call them Grace and Hope. It will be a long road for all three of them, but with our wonderful volunteers and donors, we are sure they will be showered with lots of love and plenty of proper nutrition to give them a new start in life. If you would like to donate or sponsor, send your tax deductible contribution to P.E.R., P.O. Box 777, Cantonment, FL 32533 or you may use paypal on our website; www.panhandleequinerescue.org
