Adopt A Horse
The goal of the adoption program is to place each horse in a permanent home suited to the needs of the individual horse. Grass pasture, shelter,
and safe fencing (NO barbed wire) is required. Permanent ownership of the horse remains with PER and no horse may be bred, sold, leased or given away.
Our goal is for the horse to have a forever home for the rest of his or her life; A place where they can be safe and cared for without ever being
neglected or passed from person to person again.
There is an adoption fee for each equine, which reflects a small portion of the medical and feed expenses incurred by PER.

complete it, then mail it to:

One of our staff will then contact you for an interview over the phone and set up a time to drop by and inspect your place. In the event the
adopter can no longer care for the equine, that equine comes back to PER to be placed for adoption again. Lifetime follow-ups on all equines
ensure that they are never abused or neglected again.
Scam is a 23 year old TB mare. She has not been evaluated for any riding level, so for now she will be adopted out as a companion horse. She is sound, so she may
possibly be ridable, but at this point, any training under saddle she may have received has not been determined. Please note that Scam is a cribber.
She is sweet natured and easy to fall in love with.
Current Adoption Fee is $100.00 until evaluation is completed.
Little Richard is a 14 year old TB gelding. He is very friendly and loves attention. Due to an old injury, he can only handle light riding.
Adoption Fee: $300.00
Angel is a 17 yr. old National Show Horse, which is a cross between an Arab and an American Saddlebred. She is 14.3 hands. She would do better kept alone,
unless with a very dominant horse. She's had a lot of training and has great potential. She will require a rider at the Advanced Beginner level.

Foxfire is an 9 yr. old 15 hand Tennessee Walking Horse mare, although we have never seen her gait. She is very sweet natured,
but has trust issues. She has been ridden, but due to behavioral problems, we feel that she needs to start back with basic groundwork.
First, she needs to bond with someone, who will take the time to teach her to trust again. She is not dangerous, mean or silly, she
just needs to be worked with slowly by someone who has a lot of patience. Natural horsemanship is required. She is a great horse that
must be given the chance she deserves to reach her full potential. Serious inquiries only.

Lady is a 23 year old quarter horse mare. She is currently up for adoption as a companion horse until she can be evaluated.
She has been ridden, but needs a knowledgeable and confident rider. She will load, tie and stand for the farrier and vet.

Rain Dancer is an 9 year old 14.2 hand paint mare. She had trust issues accepting the saddle, but with the patience and consistency
of a volunteer, she seems to be working through that. She regularly goes to Coldwater on trail rides, but will require an Advanced Intermediate
rider, who has a lot of patience.

Sterling is a 8 year old 15 hand Tennessee Walking Horse Mare. She is a beautiful horse and has an awesome gait. She has trust issues,
so she will require a lot of patience, love and groundwork before she is ever ridden. She has been saddled and sat on, but is no where ready to ride.
She must bond and learn to trust first. Someone knowledgable with natural horsemanship is a must.

Maggie is a very sweet 13 yr. old donkey. Once she bonds with you, she looks forward to your attention. She is obese, so she must be
restricted from lush pasture and requires minimal grain.

Jasmine is a 11 year old Welsh Cobb mare. Due to behavioral issues under saddle, she will only be adopted out as a companion horse.
She gets along well with other pasture mates, but requires patience to gain trust with human strangers.

Our Man is a 4 year old 15.1 hand Morgan Cross gelding. He has been started under saddle and will make a great trail horse.
He is very sweet, but will require an Intermediate level rider, since he is still so young.

Two Stripes is a 6 year old 14.1 hand Arabian gelding. He is going very well under saddle and has tons of trail experience. He is also going over
small jumps. He would make a great competitive trail horse; he has lots of heart and wants to please. He will require a lightweight person that is
at an Intermediate level rider. He is very gentle, has great ground manners and is a joy to be around.

Eli is a 3 year old Tennessee Walking Horse gelding. He is very sweet and loves attention. He is well mannered and gets along well with other horses. He will lead, tie,
bathe, load and is good with the farrier and the vet. He has a natural gait. He is ready to start with ground work, but we prefer that he not carry a rider until he is three. He is going
to make someone a wonderful horse!

Shawn is an 8 yr. old 15.1 hand American Saddlebred/Cross. He has a kind disposition and is great on the trail. He will ride out alone or with others, however he is not a "deadhead",
so he will require an Advanced Beginner level rider.

Racer is a 2 year old Arabian gelding. He leads, loads, ties, lunges and enjoys baths. He is also good with the farrier. He is very sweet and has lots of potential.
