Panhandle Equine Rescue’s 11th Year!

Today marks our 11th year since Panhandle Equine Rescue became an organization! We have come a long way because of the support from our community.

PER has received 90 horses into our rescue program since inception on February 1st, 2005. All of our program horses are guaranteed a lifetime safety net, meaning that if an adopter or foster can no longer keep the horse, they are required to return them to PER. That is our promise to each of our rescues, that they will never be neglected, abused or abandoned again.

We have helped hundreds of other horses through educating owners with the goal that they take responsibility for their own horses in order that they may keep them. We have also assisted in the placement of many county horses.

Currently, we have 22 horses in our foster program, who are depending on us for proper nutrition and care. It is because of you that we are able to provide that until they find their forever homes.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our donors, sponsors, members, volunteers, fosters, adopters or anyone who has referred someone to us or spoken positive about PER. Without you, we could not have helped so many equines. With your continued support, we look forward to helping many more horses in the years to come!
